As you can comprehend from my post title, yes, I’m gonna talk about another open source software and IT’S FREE! Oh, you already knew? And you already downloaded it?! Great. Then, I shall move on. Yeah, Mozilla Firefox is the in thing at the moment, in relation to web browsing, at least. Since the release last year of Mozilla Firefox 1.5, Firefox has been steadily eroding Internet Explorer's claim of superiority. Why choose Mozzie Foxy over the good-old Internet Explorer? By the way, the name Mozzie Foxy has happily been made up by yours truly ok. (: Oh, yes. It’s been crowned as the best browser in a FORBES 2004 commentary piece, and PC World named it the “product of the year” in 2005 on their “100 Best Products of 2005” list. After the release of Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7 in 2006, PC World reviewed both and declared that Firefox was the better browser. Which? Magazine named Firefox its Best Buy web browser. Its load-up speed or launching speed might not match that of Internet Explorer, but what else can appeal more than fast, and efficient web browsing as opposed to having pop-ups from spywares and what nots? Thanks to the new fast backwards-and-forwards (FastBack) feature. Hah. You might say – oh, that’s easy to solve. You can download free anti-spyware software online. What I’m talking about here is, surfing the web without pop-ups! So, no pop-ups/ spywares = no need of anti-spyware softwares! Woohoo! What else? Features included with Firefox are tabbed browsing, spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, an integrated download manager, and a search system that includes Google.
